Founded in 1921, Paris College of Art (PCA) is a private university in Paris, France. The university is a degree granting institution of higher learning under the authority of the State of Delaware and is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). PCA’s mission is to provide the highest standard of art and design education, taught within an American pedagogical paradigm, while being influenced and informed by our French and European environment.

Our international faculty is comprised of 100 leaders in the art, design, and business industries in Europe and courses are taught in English. PCA offers an interdisciplinary education for 300 full-time students coming from 50 different countries, and awards BFA degrees in: Art History, Theory & Criticism; Communication Design; Illustration; Fashion Design; Fine Arts; and Photography as well as a BBA degree in Design Management. The university also offers study abroad, certificate, summer, and university preparation programs. Additional information is available at www.paris.edu.

Tuition, Fees and Cost of Living

Paris College of Art is willing to set tuition and fees for you at CVA level. PCA with match Federal and State grant and loan aid, and CVA grants and scholarships. In addition to direct tuition support, PCA will provide additional support with the cost of living in St. Paul and Paris.

All PCA/CVA applicants must have an incoming 3.0 GPA and maintain the equivalent at PCA in order to retain aid.

 

Application Process for CVA Students 

Online application
Complete the application found at mon.paris.edu/ICS/Admissions/Apply. No application fee is required of CVA applicants. Applicants who are rising seniors should apply as Junior transfers, as a senior option is not included in the drop-down menu. However, please clarify in your Personal Statement (see below) that you wish to be considered as a senior transfer. 

Personal Statement
Please upload to the online application a one-page statement describing your academic or professional goals and intentions in applying to PCA. 

Portfolio
Applicants to our BFA degree programs should prepare a portfolio of 10 to 20 images highlighting their best work, using any medium. Applicants may submit a cohesive series of recent work, or a variety of works from their studies at CVA. We are interested in seeing what excites you most about your work. Applicants can create their own log-in and upload their work to parisedu.slideroom.com (a 10 dollar fee applies), or they can provide a web link in their Personal Statement (see above). You can also schedule a time to meet with me on at CVA February 1st to show your portfolio first hand. 

Transcripts
Applicants must submit transcripts from CVA showing their full academic history, as well as transcripts from any other university studies. We will review your previous courses, as well as courses where you are currently enrolled to determine your placement in our curriculum.   Financial Aid Awards: Please send your most recent Financial Assistance award letter from CVA.
