Application

You initiate the admissions process by submitting a completed application form with a $40, nonrefundable application fee.

Statement of Interest Essay

Submit a one to two-page essay that describes what excites you about art and design. This is also an opportunity to write about previous academic experiences, your goals and why attending CVA will help you achieve them.

Academic Transcripts

Transfer students must have official, sealed transcripts sent to CVA from their high school and all post-secondary institutions attended. Information on transferring credit to CVA.

Admissions Tests

An ACT or SAT score is required for all applicants unless you are transferring from another college with more than 30 successfully completed college credits at an accredited institution.

Portfolio Review

Your portfolio should include 12–20 examples of artwork. More information on the portfolio review.
