Students are assigned an academic advisor, who is a full time faculty member, to assist them with course selection and planning. Academic advisors, along with the Registrar’s Office, provide guidance regarding academic procedure, guidelines, policy, and other support services as needed.
CVA strongly recommends that students remain actively engaged with the academic advisor during their enrollment at the college. It is in the student’s best interest to establish a strong rapport with their academic advisor. The sequencing of the academic programs requires diligence from students in following the program requirements, and academic advisors provide essential guidance and advice about how to remain on track with the major program sequences.
