Freitag Emergency Fund

The purpose of the Freitag Student Emergency Fund is to support students when financial emergency situations arise. The Freitag Fund assists CVA students by providing grocery gift cards to help pay for their food expense.

The Freitag Fund was established in 2009 in honor of CVA alumna Kim (Hanson) Freitag ’92 and is open to public contributions.

The director for student life will assess student requests and determine the amount to be distributed. There are no minimum or maximum financial limits. Funds are available until total disbursal.

Ledy Family Emergency Art Supply Grant

The purpose of the Ledy Family Emergency Art Supply Grant is to support students when a financial emergency arises and they are unable to purchase their necessary art supplies. The Ledy Grant assists CVA students by providing a gift card to Wet Paint: Artists’ Materials & Framing, located in Saint Paul.

This Grant is funded by Ledy family members and is open to public contributions.

The director for student life will determine student eligibility. The grant is designed to provide financial assistance to any current, full-time CVA student who can demonstrate immediate need. A student may qualify for one art supply grant per academic semester. Grant funds are available until depleted.
