fine arts | printmaking

Bridge the disciplines of graphic design, illustration, and photography with a Fine Arts degree in printmaking. You will train and practice within a generous range of printmaking facilities and sharpen your understanding of and proficiency in a variety of printmaking techniques, including screen-printing, intaglio, lithography, relief, and monotype. Our letterpress studio scrutinizes the essential link between typography and fine art and deepens your knowledge of fine art papers.

Your print experience is supplemented through CVA coursework in book arts taught onsite at the Minnesota Center for Book Arts. Here, our faculty of skilled, small-press entrepreneurs teaches both traditional and experimental approaches to constructing and making books.
