fashion design

Declaring fashion as your major presents the opportunity to participate in the École Parsons à Paris, a division of Paris College of Art, Study Abroad Program. You petition for entrance into the program during your sophomore year and beginning your junior year your training is truly hands-on.

At École Parsons à Paris you learn the skills of draping muslin on the mannequin to achieve foundation pattern shapes and transform fashion illustrations into three-dimensional garments. Your year abroad prepares you for a senior-year experience, at CVA, which culminates your interdisciplinary studies – an advanced pattern drafting and garment construction course that is coupled with a studio internship and the development of a professional portfolio and senior fashion collection.
