Thanks to its location at the corner of Western and Selby avenues,
the CVA Gallery creates a nexus between community organizations, small businesses, and the arts.
The gallery's diverse exhibition and event schedule balances academic and community priorities, showcases work
from all disciplines at the college, serves emerging and established artists, and presents local, regional, and national work.
CVA's academic gallery programming comprises annual alumni and faculty exhibitions, and for student work, juried and scholarship exhibitions,
a first-year foundation exhibition, and a graduate exhibition. CVA also hosts the annual Minnesota State Visual Arts Exhibition
and the Saint Paul Honors Exhibition for high school students.
CVA hosts and curates significant regional and national exhibitions that cross multiple disciplines.
In the fall, the annual "CVA Leaders of Design Series" showcases exemplary design through a public lecture and exhibition,
demonstrating past accomplishments and current trends in apparel, architecture, furniture, graphic, illustration, industrial,
interior, interactive, and product design. In the spring, the annual "CVA Perspectives in Fine Art Series"
brings the work of nationally renowned artists to Saint Paul with an exhibition of major works, gallery talks, and an exhibition
catalog featuring essays by nationally recognized art critics and historians. "Portals on Western",
located in a new public art exhibition space in the windows and storefront of CVA's gallery building,
presents a series of three to six annual installations by emerging regional artists.

The Gallery is located at 173 Western Avenue in St. Paul (on the corner of Western and Selby avenues), and is open Wednesday through Saturday.
