overdue items, renewals & fines

All items checked out should have the date due stamped on them. Students may renew items by phone, e-mail, or in person. It is not necessary to bring the item in. Some interlibrary loan items and books on hold may not be renewed.

If an item becomes overdue, students will receive a notice in their mailbox at the Summit building. Students are charged for overdue items, but the library does not accept money as payment. Students pay fines by bringing in non-perishable food items. One item will pay off $10.00 in fines.

The overdue fine for books, magazines, videos/DVDs, and slides is $0.25/day and the fine for an interlibrary loan item is $0.50/day.

Items checked out at the Photo Lab also can incur fines. These fines, however, cannot be paid off with food items. Students must pay these fines in cash at the Photo Lab.
