Jenkins Featured at Weisman

Chair of Fine Arts, Val Jenkins, is featured in Ordinarily Here at the Fredrick R. Weisman Art Museum at the University of Minnesota.

Embroidery based on graffiti tags. Drawings of paper shredder scraps. Paintings on sheetrock alongside piles of bricks. Art made from tape, wire, and beads. Installations based on typos from office memos. These and other works inspired by aspects of common experience make up the exhibition Ordinarily Here. The exhibition's ten Minnesota-based artists explore how place can re-contextualize everyday life, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.
