Alumnus Quillan Roe’96 and his musical group the Roe Family Singers are releasing their new CD, The Owl, the Bat and the Bumblebee. The group started as a husband and wife duo in the spring of 2004 with Quillan on guitar and banjo and Kim on autoharp and washboard. Winners of the 2011-2012 McKnight Artist Fellowship for Performing Musicians administered by MacPhail Center for Music, they write and perform bluegrass, folk, and roots songs.
The CD release weekend is Friday and Saturday, June 17-18, 2011 at 10:00 p.m. each night at the 331 Club in Minneapolis. Read more...
