Marshall in Secret Show

Chair of Photography John Marshall is in Secret Show a solo exhibition at FORM+CONTENT GALLERY in Minneapolis from June 9 - July 9, 2011. This unpublicized exhibition is comprised of Marshall’s large cyanotypes on fabric with imagery from his black and white film archive.

In lieu of an opening reception, on the final day of the exhibition there will be a special event open to anyone with a deep sense of curiosity. In 2008 John discovered a long forgotten suitcase in a south Minneapolis garage that he had rented. Shaking revealed items inside, but the suitcase was never opened and its contents remain a secret. On Saturday, July 9th at 1:00 p.m. he will open the suitcase.
