Adjunct faculty member Amy Toscani opens Everyday Epic: the wild, weird, wacky work of Amy Toscani at the Catherine G. Murphy Gallery at Saint Catherine University in Saint Paul. As Toscani states, her large­scale sculptures "have an optimistic, buoyant quality" and at the same time "a physical ruggedness about it." The viewer is often dwarfed by her work and yet her sculptures remain very approachable.
