Faculty and Alumni in Communication Arts

Adjunct faculty member Michael Skjei and alumni Andrew Wetzel and Braden Wise ’08 are included in the January/February 2012 Communication Arts Typography Annual 2012. They are among the 150 winning projects selected from over 1700 entries.

Michael Skjei of Skjei Design Co. recognized in the Poster category, designed the poster that accompanied the Paul Rand exhibit for CVA. Andrew Wetzel of Colle+McVoy won in the Identity category for his design of FEED IT for an inspirational speaking series. In the Ephemera category Braden Wise won for his Good Day CA series of postcards created as a visual memoir of his recent cross-country transition from the Midwest to the West.

Founded in 1959, Communication Arts magazine is the leading trade journal for visual communications. It is the largest creative magazine in the world and showcases the top work in graphic design, advertising, illustration, photography, interactive design and typography.
