O'Brien Selected For American Illustration 31

Illustration Chair and Assistant Professor James O’Brien’s portrait illustration of An Wang has been selected for publication in American Illustration 31. American Illustration is an annual competition featuring the best illustrations from 2011. The hardcover edition of AI31 will be published and distributed November 9, 2012. This year’s distinguished jury included Jen Bekman, 20x20; Steven Charny, Rolling Stone; Mia Song, Men's Health; John Gall, Random House; Aviva Michaelov, The New York Times; Veronica Reo, Young & Rubicam; and Paul Sahre, O.O.P.S.

The jury of design and publishing professionals selects illustrations from editorial, advertising, books, promotion, posters, video, student and unpublished work.
