Janson Finalist in Artscape Prize

Matthew Janson ’05 is one of six finalists for the seventh annual Janet & Walter Sondheim Artscape Prize which is produced by the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts. The $30,000 monetary award assists in furthering the career of a visual artist or visual artist collaborators living and working in the Greater Baltimore region.

The competition winner is announced during an award ceremony on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 7pm at the BMA, located on 10 Art Museum Drive. Finalists’ work is exhibited in the Alvin and Fanny Blaustein Thalheimer Galleries of the Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA) from Saturday, June 16 through Sunday, July 29, 2012.  The fellowship winner is selected from the BMA exhibition after review of the installed art and an interview with each finalist by the jurors.
