Confidentiality of Student Records
(FERPA)

In compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 students have certain rights in regard to their educational records. These rights are:

  1. The right to inspect and review the educational records maintained by CVA.
  2. The right to challenge and amend any portion of the record that the student believes is inaccurate or misleading.
  3. The right to require the school to obtain written consent prior to the disclosure of personally identifiable information.
  4. The right to file a complaint with the Family Policy Compliance Office (FPCO) concerning alleged denial of rights.
