Communication Arts Design Annual

The tabloid-sized publication, which employs large close-up photos of artists’ tools and invites prospective students to “be visual,” was selected for inclusion in the 51st Design Annual published by Communication Arts. This prestigious annual compendium of juried work features the best in visual communications from around the world.

365: AIGA Annual Design Competition 31

After careful and considered review of more than 2,500 entries, the jury of “365: AIGA Annual Design Competitions 31” selected a group of 126 examples of outstanding design produced in 2009. The College of Visual Arts Viewbook was selected in the Brochure, Print, Promoting category.

To assure that selections become a part of a permanent accessible historical record of notable graphic design, each piece is published online as part of the AIGA Design Archives at http://designarchives.aiga.org; the physical artifact becomes part of the AIGA Design Archives now housed at the Denver Art Museum; and is published in the AIGA annual 365: AIGA Year in Design.

AIGA Minnesota Design Show

The CVA Viewbook was accepted into the AIGA Minnesota Design Show 2010 in the Brochures category. See this and the other winning pieces on the AIGA MN website.
